M. Vicki’s Chapter talk –
“I will lead her into the desert ….”
One year ago at the urging of the Spirit of God you, Sr. Bonitas, arrived here in the desert southwest, an interim place … or so you thought. But once you arrived, God “Spoke to your heart” and you knew at once that this is where God was leading. You heard his voice and you followed, just as you had done at other significant times in your life. May his tender love and mercy enfold you as you journey with each of your sisters here in the high desert of the Santa Rita Mountains into the Heart of God and his abiding Presence. May each of us make of this place a true coenobium. A place where we touch the face of God in our service, love and respect of each other. A place where we walk by faith together through all that our desert journey brings us. And ultimately as we saw with Clare, reach our journey’s end in the loving embrace of God.
It is our joy to receive you today as a permanent member of our community! May our loving Father brin us all together to everlasting life.
