Directions

We are 50 minutes south of the Tucson airport. From Tucson take Interstate 10 East, to Exit 281 (Sonoita / Patagonia) for Highway 83. Head south on Route 83 for 21 miles, then turn right onto Gardner Canyon Road. After 0.8 miles, there will be a large sign on the right that reads “Kentucky Camp 5” and a smaller one for “Fish Canyon Road / Santa Rita Abbey / Sleeping Dog Ranch”. Turn right!  Continue 0.9 miles, passing Sleeping Dog Ranch en route, and then bear left at the fork in the road at the “Abbey” sign. Cross the cattleguard, and follow the road up the hill. At the top of the hill, continue to the right, past the guest house, to the monastery.
