Margarita is a Golden Jubilee with over 50 years of vows. She was guest mistress off and on for many years, staying busy as our nurse-in-chief and manager of the kitchen and menu department—in addition to the good human and good sense department, and department of monastic integrity. These days she is our portress, taking on the role of answering the phone and doorbell. Margarita is happiest with a pile of interesting books, immersing herself in everything from monastic spirituality to natural science and “nice” murder mysteries. She finds God in everyone she meets and her constant prayer is that everyone will come to know how deeply God loves them.
