I am the treasure
hidden in the field
you found me
rejoiced
you sold everything and
bought me
You are the beautiful pearl
I found it
I sold everything I had
even to the death on the Cross
and bought you
We found each other
We sold everything to buy the other
We are the fate for one another
in the net of that Kingdom
I am the treasure
hidden in the field of your life.
I waited there,
covered by the dust of your days,
quiet beneath the weight of your worries,
until the moment
your searching heart
finally uncovered me.
You saw me—
not with your eyes,
but with the sudden recognition
that I had been yours
long before you ever found me.
And you rejoiced,
because something in you knew
that I was worth everything.
So you let go of all you held,
and made room for me.
You are the pearl of great beauty.
I searched for you
through the long corridors of time,
through the ache of human longing,
through the fragile hope
that you would one day
turn toward me.
And when I found you,
I gave up everything—
even my own life—
so that nothing
could stand between us.
The Cross was not a price,
but a declaration:
that you are worth
all that I am.
We found each other.
We gave everything
to belong to one another.
We became each other’s destiny—
caught together
in the wide, gathering net
of that Kingdom.
